Before glass munching his way across the globe, Abela's first musical exploits revolved around turntables powered by industrial motors, spinning not only vinyl lps but grinding bits, saw blades, vegetable cutting devices and humming bowls amongst various other things, played by skewers, knifes, swords and springs converted into giant styli.
