Since 1995 dualPLOVER has been a musical orphanage of sorts, championing destitute genre misfits, releasing and showcasing versions of avant-pop, noise, hip-hop, vaudeville, post-punk and electronica that simply don’t fit within the narrow definitions inherent in those mere words. Our name comes from the literal translation of the Japanese words for double-ended dildo, an analogy for how we like to do things here: take it in from all directions.
