First of all just to make things perfectly
clear, like Johnny Cash before her was a boy named Sue, Kristin Erickson is
a girl named Kevin, Kevin Blechdom to be precise the avenging angel of pop
music. Armed with a laptop, top notch programming skills, keyboard and a banjo
Ms Blechdom has brought much needed life into electronic music with her one
woman show filled with Song, Dance, Blood and Guts.
She began making music with her brother
and sister in law as ‘Adult
Rodeo’ over ten years ago, releasing 2 albums on the revered Shimmy
Disc label run by Kramer of Bongwater fame. Later she hooked up with Bevin
Kelley and formed Blectum
From Blechdom after an accidental collaboration one hallows night. The
duo went on to release music on labels like Tigerbeat6
and Deluxe, the later
recording winning 2nd place at the prestigious ars
electronica prize in linz.
This tour will be her second visit to australia
after her appearance at TINA
